SCR-506 command set

The SCR-506 command set was usually found in the battalion and regimental S-3 TOC. it was standardized in Dec. of 1941. artillery TO&E indicates it was also issued to service batterys.

Sherman Installation

on the so called porcupine tank, or TOC tank (Tactical Operation Center) the antenna for the sponson mounted radio goes here, but obviously needs some sort of adapter plate.

Note the offset of the antenna, this followed an example from a european found artifact, which also had a 1 inch hole for a separate antenna wire, presumably for an MP-48 set up.
